	30 :	A proposal to close the September 11 Wiki has been made.
	24 :	MetaProject to Overhaul Meta initiated.
	24 :	Fourteen new Wikipedias have been created.
	18 :	New proposal: Wikikernel, a new project incubator for new Wikimedia project proposals.
	14 :	New proposal: One encyclopedia per child.
	7 :	New proposal page posted for Wikiepic.

February 2006

	26 :	have a look at Google Grants.
	-	A first draft sorts out which features a future Multilingual MediaWiki should have.
	22 :	A new project proposal for a genealogy wiki currently at Rodovid.org

	20 :	Spam Filter Project startup. Addresses deficiences in existing SpamBlacklist extension and $wgSpamRegex
	20 :	Arabic Wikipedia doing an IRC meet on Friday Jan 20, 14:00 EST / 19:00 UTC. irc.freenode.net, #wikipeda and #ar.wikipedia
	13 :	French language Wikipedia has begun using a new namespace for references cited within articles (see fr:Aide:Espace référence).
	10 :	End of the 2006 Stewards elections.
	5 :	German DVD/Book release - December 2005 was published on the Foundation website. Please help translate it on meta if you feel it is worth being understandable by editors of your language.
